I had to have a C-section with both kids. There were complications during my pregnancy that caused the doctors to elect for a C-section from the beginning. So of course I needed one the second time since I already had one. Well now that it is all over I get to see this scar across my body for the rest of my life and let me tell you, its hideous!
Yeah, that's beautiful right? I constantly get ingrown hairs, and my abdomen actually folds over the scar, hence the bulge above the scar. It is just gross. I know I had to do it because it was safer for me and my kids but it is not pretty now. Eventually I will get it fixed if that's possible, but for now I get to look at this monster everyday.
I show this because statics say that more and more women are electing to have C-sections because they don't want to go through the pain from labor. Let me tell you this is no walk in the park either. You have a gaping hole in your abdomen held together by string basically! And it is not comfy, I think its worse with the second kid.
If you are planning to be a mom one day and have decided you want a c-section just remember this image because it could be you. I am not saying anything bad about my doctor because she was great! And seriously its not like I didn't make that area look like shit with those huge ass tattoos anyways. But if you could chose to have this scar for potentially the rest of your life or have no scar from going vaginally go vaginally.
And FYI I have plenty of scars from other surgeries so having a scar is not the problem!
