I looooove the dentist!

Ok, so maybe I'm slightly biased on my feelings towards dentists... I have two in my family. But I LOVE going to the dentist. Maybe its because I've never had serious work done? Just wisdom teeth removal and 2 small cavities that only happened last year. Maybe I have had an easy time with my teeth because I brush and floss and see a dentist on a very regular basis? Maybe its because we were raised knowing we HAD to see the dentist and that we HAD to take good care of our teeth? Maybe its because I loved my first dentist (my awesome uncle) and therefore loved all the ones that follow? (No not as much as I love my uncle, hes still the best).

OR maybe it has to do with the fact that when I leave the dentist it is the only doctor visit I go to that I actually feel clean when I leave? I actually feel better about myself after the dentist. I feel like lifetimes worth of tartar has been plucked from my teeth even though its only been a few months since I last saw the dentist. Maybe its because no matter how much I brush and floss and use mouthwash I never seem to be able to get my breath to smell that awesome? Maybe its because after the dentist I run my tongue across my teeth (when I don't have braces like now) and I feel that clean feeling?

I mean who wouldn't want to go to the dentist to get that special treatment? I see so many people posting things online about how they are dreading there dentist appointment... why? Because they help fix your toothache? Because they leave your breathe smelling minty fresh? Because they leave your teeth sparkling? Because the give you free stuff? Free stuff!?! I only go to one other doctor who gives me free stuff! Sure at the dentist its just toothpaste and a toothbrush. But add that up, its saving you money! Why wouldn't you look forward to seeing the dentist? I don't get it.

If I could I'd get a professional cleaning every day! Whats wrong with people who don't enjoy that? I don't get it! I really don't. I have seen 2 people in a week complaining about going to see the dentist. Me, when I go I'm all like YES I'm going to the DENTIST!

Maybe I like going because I get my ego stroked? Usually I hear how great my teeth look, how well I'm brushing and flossing, and when I bring the kids I always hear an awe, they are so cute and growing so fast, and a look how smart and behaved they are. Its like double high fives for myself.

I know this post was totally random and slightly off my usual topic but I am tired of hearing/seeing people complain about upcoming dentists visits. It could be worse, your teeth could literally be rotting out of your head and there be no such thing as dentists and you just have to deal with it. So think about that the next time you're complaining about going to the dentist!

Painting with a Twist

I tried something new last night. I went out with a friend to a place I've never heard of. It was called Painting with a Twist. It basically consists of why you think it would, painting but it also includes wine and food if you choose to bring some.

I had soooo much fun! I can't wait to go back. We painted, laughed, and drank heavily, and definitely snacked big time! It's been years since I painted anything other than fill in the water color with the kids, so I am definitely out of practice but I still enjoyed myself.

If you have one of these places near you I suggest you check it out with some of your friends because it's really cool! And any ladies near me should know I'm ready to go again anytime!

Just Dance

The article below is about thinking positive. Many of us go through life worrying, and obsessing, and worrying about what is going to go wrong. I have seen many people talk about how worried they are to be having surgery, that they are scared to go under the knife but most of the time you have nothing to be worried about. I think that there is so much negative talk out there that it gets into our heads and spooks us. As long as you choose the right doctor then you should be fine.

I have had multiple surgeries and of course I'm always a little nervous but I have never once doubted the doctors or staff operating on me. Surgery is something I have grown used to over my lifetime and I am sure my life under the knife will never be over and I accept that. And that is why I can really appreciate what an amazing thing this woman did before going into her surgery. She danced.

This woman had the whole team dancing with her. And that's something more of us should be doing. We shouldn't be dreading the surgery. We shouldn't be rude to anyone administering IVs and medication because it is their job and they really are trying to help us. We should be thankful for everything they are doing to try to help us and we all just dance off our nerves. I'm sure this little dance off put everyone operating on her in a better mood and therefore making the surgery a less stressful environment for everyone and that is really what it is all about.

So if you ever have to go in for surgery try to be nice to the staff and show them some respect because as stressful as it is for you its just the same for them. Your life is in their hands and they don't want to loose your life anymore than you do. So you should just think positive and trust the people operating on you, and if you don't then whose mistake is that?

My Halloween Night

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! I know I did!

First we went to a trunk or treat with the kids, Lil was Little Red Riding Hood and Tyler was a Ninja Turtle. We got home at a decent time, the kids had a few pieces of candy, and when I say few I mean a few! Hardly more than a handful if that! But they were up shooting around the house for hours after that! When I went out with my friends later that night they were still up and we left at about 11! A little candy goes a long way I guess.

The night out with my friends was really fun. I dressed up as Leeloo from the 5th Element. If you haven't seen that movie you must go watch it NOW! Its amazing! ...I was afraid nobody would recognize me because one of my friends had no idea who I was because she hadn't seen the movie...boy was I wrong. Every time I turned around someone was yelling "Fifth Element!" or "Leeloo!" I got  a lot of "Awesome outfit!" and "I freaking love this!" responses, one girl even wanted to take a picture with me! I was just glad people recognized me and didn't just think I was dressed up in strange orange suspenders for no reason.

I wasn't hung over the next day because I stayed within my 3 drink limit, so it keeps me from getting sloshed, I am SOOOOO glad I made that rule for myself!!! I finally feel like a responsible drinking adult now that I watch my alcohol intake. Which is a big step up from how I was a little over a year ago! Even though I drank responsibly that didn't stop me from needing to recover the next day.

I had trouble functioning the first few hours because I was sooooo freaking exhausted! Clearly my body is not capable of handling late nights like that on top of other nights of frequent insomnia so even though I couldn't stay in bed all day the next day because of the kids that didn't stop me from moping around the house half of the day wishing I could still be sleeping. And of course how it always goes, the nights you don't get any sleep the day that follows you are extremely busy and running around like a chicken with your head cut off... it never fails! Thankfully the nights that followed I was able to at least get to sleep before 1, so yay for me!

I hope everyone had an amazing Halloween! Don't be afraid to post any funny stories or pictures below! Id love to see what other people dressed up as or dressed their kids up as.

Oh and a quick funny thing that happened. You would never believe it but at the trunk or treat we were behind a family where one of the kids had dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood and the other as a Ninja Turtle...how crazy is that!?!

I think I love my kids. But I'm not sure.

I started this blog so I could stop sending my friend crazy hysterical false suicidal texts and just put them out there for everyone to see. But it didn't turn out that way. I was afraid if I put that stuff out there people would get the wrong idea and think I hate my life or my kids or that I want to kill all of us and I was afraid of how people would react.

But the more I write on this blog the more I feel like I am finding my voice and I am beginning to get more comfortable with writing my opinion. And the fact is I do hate my life, my kids, and I want to myself or them at some point during the day. But as if it were possible I also love my life, my kids and would literally jump in front of a bullet to save them.

I really enjoy that saying I brought you into this world I can take you out of it. Because if anybody should be taking your kids out of this world it should be the mother who birthed them. I'm NOT saying killing your kids is ok by any means. I'm just saying if somebody HAD to do it...

But I could never hurt my kids, EVER. I mean I hurt them all the time but by accident (they got my clumsy gene) or because it has to be done (doctor appointments). But that does not mean I don't think about it. If your a parent and you have not pictured hurting your kids then you are either lying to yourself or your not in your kids life because every parent thinks that at least one time. The big thing is to not act on the feeling when your angry or stressed.

So if you ever see me post something about how much I hate my kids I mean in that moment. I love my kids to death but they drive me crazy and sometimes I need to vent, like any normal person! And I'm getting tired or writing these big long posts every day so some days it may be as short as I hate my kids. So be prepared and you can judge all you want but in the end I know I am an amazing parent because my kids are still alive, they are smart, and they are well behaved in public (for short periods of time).
