Account passwords

I read an article recently that said for every online account you have you should have a different password. The password should be complicated, not your social, your kids names, your name, your phone number or your drivers license number. Your password should not be predictable.

Until about a week ago all my passwords to every single account I had online was the same. I read that article about two months ago and I just got around to changing my passwords. A couple of years ago my mother in law had her email hacked. She was very upset and I didn't really understand why. It's just your email is all I could think of. But think about how many bank accounts you have connected to your email.

If somebody can access your email than they can probably access your bank accounts and anything else they want to get into. Yet still it has taken me years to finally change my passwords all thanks to one article I read. I finally realized how dangerous it could be for me and my family if someone got access to my email.

My email password was pretty tough in the first place, nobody would have ever thought to guess what it was but now, I can't even remember what it is so I know nobody else can hack into it. So just a word to the wise if all of your account passwords are the same change them before someone else figures it out. Even if you only have $5 in your account its $5 more than you would have if somebody steals it!!
