Role Models

I may not be the perfect role model or parent but when I look around me I think I am doing better than many.

I am not going to teach my children to hate people but I will teach them to be cautious and to look out for signs of betrayal.

I do not encourage minors to go to clubs and to get drunk and to have random unprotected sex.

I do not leave my children every chance I get so I can go out and party and make an ass of myself.

I am teaching my children manners and how to respect each other.

I am allowing my children to figure out who they are as individuals and how to properly express their feelings.

I am responsible for any and all mistakes my children make until they are old enough to take that responsibility themselves even if that means one day paying for a broken lamp or something like that.

I will teach my children the value of money and how to prevent themselves from getting into debt like I did at a young age.

I will do everything possible to keep my children from hanging out with the bad crowd, and from doing bad things by teaching them what is right and what is wrong.

If I fail at being a good role model for kids then I will just lock them in a closest for the rest of their lives so they can't be out in the real world to let everyone know that I failed.
